You Can Learn Many Things from Children

My wife and her mom have gone to Johor Bahru – Malaysia since morning. That means it’s only me and the kids now. Somehow it’s harder to be patient when dealing with kids, compared to dealing with clients, or colleagues. Kids are more demanding 🙂 Like when I was preparing breakfast, and each of my kids wanted different thing. I asked them to agree on one thing that would make my life easier, but they couldn’t agree on one thing. “I want scrambled egg with cheese.” “I want scrambled egg but I dont’ like cheese.” “I want noodle with soup.” I just took a deep breath, paying attention to my breaths as it flooded my body, and remember what my wife said to me about a quality time between me and the kids. At that moment, I remembered a turkish proverb, “Patience is the key to paradise.” If I could handle the kids without anger, be patient with what they did, then our home would be a paradise, where love is all around.

Franklin P. Jones’s qoute, “You can learn many things from children. How much patience you have, for instance.”

It’s still 11 AM, and I have another 10-11 hours to learn from my kids. Wish me luck, and have a great weekend to you all!
