Don’t Create Ugly Wireframes

People might say that the wireframes don’t have to be that perfect, since we’re gonna improve them later at visual design stage. But from my experience, when you’re dealing with the business to get their approval, it does help a lot to have good wireframes. My definition of good wireframes, is that they have to look like a real website without detail visual design. To look like a real website, you have to layout the elements nicely, put a good typography, and basic colors that match to each other. Providing good wireframes will also give credibility to you as ‘the expert’. Don’t create ugly wireframes. They should be something that you can be proud of when showing them to the business or the project team. Layout, typography, and colors.
